• I owned a memory foam mattress for a while- which I liked. But, I was moving and thought to get a new mattress. I ordered the King size "the bed in the box"- medium firm (although I would have liked firm one, the representative assurred me that medium firm would be firm enough- and he was right!). I have to say that this is probably the best deal out there for latex mattress. I was a bit concerned about that they might be too thin- but after using them for a week, my worries were completely over. I have to say that I might like this latex mattress a little more than my memory foam mattress for a couple of reasons: 1. these latex mattress are bouncy! Yes, bouncy! It is nothing like traditional spring mattresses but there is a little bouncy reaction that memory foam mattresses do not have. 2. It makes little impression of my body on the mattress compared to memory foam mattresses. Although I know that contouring to my body makes these types of mattresses more comfy compared to the traditional ones, sometimes getting too close to my body can keep the heat between my body and the mattress. I definitely felt less of that with this latex mattress. Besides these two reasons, the box spring, mattress, and the metal frame altogether in the box for one good price was definitely my favorite part. I searched many different websites for latex mattresses and I don't think that any other websites can beat the price of "bed in the box". One concern I had was regarding the thinness of the mattress and the fitting of the bed sheet. But, actually, that was solved by putting my deep pocket bed sheet all the way to the box spring. The mattress and box spring together measure about 15 inches. So, my fitted sheet cover both of them and I didn't need to worry about my bed sheet being too loose on top. If you don't like my method,according to my extensive search, BBB has a nice deep pocket bed sheet from Stearns & Foster that you can use for the mattresses between 7 & 24 inches. Read More …
